Jewish communities of Eastern Europe loved raspberries, so much it became a part of Yiddish literature, common expressions, imitations and traditions - who knew? Before the glorious raspberry season of California comes to a close, join me in learning more about our sweet relationship with raspberries before and during the Shoah. I'll share delicious recipes both historical and modern and inspiring survivor's stories, including one collected through my Old World Plant Project. In addition to the $36 class fee, in-person class includes an additional $7 materials fee. Oakland location revealed upon registration.
